Once again this great event is on for July. Bands to be announced soon.

Entry price is £15 per day and £25 for a weekend ticket. Camping is charged at £10 per person for the weekend and £7 for Saturday only. Their are also offers for multiple ticket purchases. Checkout the Newt Beer Festival web site for more details.

Barbican Iternational Jazz & Blues Festival

This year’s Festival!
The Barbican International Jazz and Blues Festival 2010 brings music, fun and entertainment to the historic quayside quarter of Plymouth, UK.
We have a Grand Festival Jazz Parade and Swing Sunday (see right), where thousands take to the streets, we have excellent free gigs, we have astounding ticketed performances and some magical music is made live in front of everyone’s eyes.

UPSU Student Union Bars

We have been associated with the University of Plymouth Students’ Union for over 15 years. During this period we have supplied and installed lighting and sound systems, satellite and aerial distribution systems, data projectors and plasma screens.

We also have on going equipment rental for live sound applications with our sister company Nub Sound.

Plymouth Music Zone

Recently NUB have supplied and fitted a pair of Fohhn XT-2 speakers for the new sensory room.

Since the opening of the deservingly successful Plymouth Music Zone NUB have been providing equipment and services. The initial installation was a multiroom live sound PA for rehearsal and performance, each room was fitted with a custom made multicore system leading into the central sound recording room. The main performance space was also treated with a new lighting system consisting of a pre-wired lighting bar fitted with PAR cans and supplied with dimmer racks and lighting control.

3 New Fohhn PA Systems

We now have three more of the superb flexible Fohhn systems in the NUB Sound hire stock, based on the Fohhn XS-30 active bass units with a combination of XT-33 & XT-4 passive mid highs and some XSP-30 passive bass units. A very popular band hire package with the addition of Allen & Heath Mix Wizard desks and D&B active speakers as stage monitors.

Also very popular as a DJ system, just add any of our decks and mixers or use your own !

Bruel & Kjaer Analyser

We now have available on request a fully calibrated Bruel & Kjaer 2250 Sound analyser for ensuring environmental health noise guidelines are adhered to. This unit is also applicable for noise at work audits to ensure the health and safety of staff.

Port Elliot Lit Festival

The 2007 Port Eliot Literature Festival was the largest to date and was an unquestionable success. NUB Sound provided comprehensive services to the event including equipping and manning four live stages and undertaking advanced planning with the Organisers and the Port Elliot estates manager to ensure compliance with environmental noise regulations.

The Ha-Ha stage had a 6kw stereo Opus Audio CS system with full 32 channel Allen & Heath GL4800, stage monitors and mic set.

The Cabaret Bar stage had a 3Kw Fohhn system, 2 active subs, 2 passive subs and 4 x Xt- 33 passive mid/tops with Allen and Heath GL2400, 4 x D&B active stage monitors.

The Bowling Green Stage had 2 x active Fohhn Subs with 2 passive mid/tops, 16 channel mix wizard

The Walled Garden stage had 2 x Yahama speakers and a small powered mixer.

The Hub Nightclub
